I know, I know, it's been at least a month or so since I got back since my quick trip to Singapore. Somewhat related, it's been a least a month since I dropped my suitcase at the base of my bed and purposely ignored every morning I stumbled by it and stubbed my toe.

Finally decided this weekend to crack the case open to look through the few products I did pick up in S'pore. I have to say I was quite disappointed in the products available and the still pretty high prices, especially in Sephora. It wasn't anything like the free-for-all that Hawaii was. Prices are from memory because I'm a chronic dispatcher of receipts and converted to Australian dollars.

So it's totally, officially, 100% not summer anymore *sad trombone sound*. Total bummer, dudes. I love me some summer and am not looking forward to winter, which is a joke of a season and totally useless except for my birthday (JULY 21ST SEND PRESENTS).

Despite the on and off weather here in Sydney, I still wanted to look summery and as getting a real tan is basically the worst thing you can ever do for your skin ever and will eventually kill you, I opted for a faux glow, trialling a total of twenty-two fake tans over the last few months. Here's my impressions of the best fake tans for your booty.

So I picked up this....bum cream a little while ago from a sale at work. 

It seems to be a basic body lotion and absorbs like one - no tingling or burning like similar creams I've tried (and yes, I've tried multiple firming creams. You shut up now).

Feeling a wee bit of deja vu? I know, I've already covered some lotions from Vaseline before. But these ones are (kinda) different, in that they are more moisturising and have some fancy science to back it up. Mmm, sciencey.

First off, this looks likes a shaving gel. Second off, this lathers like a shaving gel. And third off, I will be using this as just a shaving gel, because it freaks me out using a shower gel to cleanse my armpits with.

I picked up this massive pump bottle from Priceline, when the eye-catching packaging demanded my attention. I did have a sneaky sniff to make sure the smell wouldn't make me gag (like, who doesn't have a smell before they commit, right? Don't pretend you don't!). I like St Ives products, they don't irritate my skin, they are a great deal and they moisturise without leaving a greasy after feel. This one isn't as runny as the others I've tried from the brand and it has a slight gel consistency that makes it feel thicker and a little more luxe. I didn't need this lotion at all, but am glad I got it as it's a nice change to my usual vanilla/gardenia/spices gallery of rogues.

It retails for A$8.99, but I'm pretty sure I got it for 30% off too. You go, Michaela Coco! 

Happy Valentine's Day, y'all! I like to say I don't celebrate it because of how commercial it is, but the thing is, I totally relish it and by default I guess that means I celebrate it too. I don't buy into the overpriced romantic dinners for two and dozen limp roses, but I do like to wear kitschy heart patterned dress, ruby-red lips and ribbons, and have a play with everything sweet and romantic. Plus if The Boyfriend wants to buy me a bunch of flowers (I prefer peonies, tulips and pink/white roses babe. NO LILLIES!) or maybe some chocolate, then sure, go for it. Can't hurt, especially if you want to avoid the silent treatment. God, I sound like a super fun sulking girlfriend, right?

Anyway, I love the cute heart shaped, romanticised beauty goodies that appear in the lead up to V-Day. Lush bring out a pretty large range each Feburary. Although it's available all year, I picked up their Tisty Tosty bath bomb purely for the cute heart shap and mushy backstory (blah blah blah love potion blah blah mysterious rose blah and Ancient Persia. Me: I'll take it!).
