Being ultra pale, I love using illuminating products to help my skin look less chalky and flat, and more luminous and well, alive. Seriously, a teeny bit of product makes such a difference to my face, and takes me from this -
- to this.
Instaglow! My newest illuminator is the Rimmel London Wake Me Up Instant Radiance Shimmer Touch. That is a stupid long name, which I absolutely refuse to constantly retype, so let's go with Instant Radiance. Cool? Cool.
The range is a new addition to Rimmel's Wake Me Up Foundation line, which I admit to not have tried yet, mostly because my shade is always out of stock/the bottles at Priceline have been tampered with. Each tube of Instant Radiance contains 14ml, and there are four shades available.
Here's a look where I've mixed a drop of 001 with my foundation (Clarins Everlasting Foundation in 103 Ivory) which normally has a matte finish. The illuminator really lifts the flatness a matte formula normally has on my skin and creates a glow that isn't sparkly. I've then dabbed on 002 on the apples of my cheeks and set it with a sweep of MeMeMe BlushMe! in Pink.
Rimmel London Wake Me Up Instant Radiance Shimmer Touch has a RPP of A$12.95.

I would say that 001 Flush of Pearl is a true champagne highlighter, while 002 Radiant Rose (creamy pink) and 003 Peach Glow (shimmering dark peach) are more like blushes. 004 is a light bronzer with a frosty hue.

As the Instant Radiance shades get darker, they also seemed more pigmented and less sheer - the swatches above have used equal amounts of product, but 004 is noticeably more opaque than the rest.
