Smith Street Market Body Lotions & Body Wash Review

So does this packaging look familiar to you? Black lowercase text, cute story, bright content and sweet scents? I'm always a little resentful of copycat shenanigans trying to Jedi mind-trick me into buying the wrong brand, but in this case it worked. I nabbed three of these Smith Street Market body products at Coles while buying yogurt on my lunch-break, no doubt attracted by the philosophy inspired packaging, but also the crazy delicious sounding scents. Chocolate-bullets? Milk bottles? So there, a trillion times over.
The little house boxes are pretty cute and would make a sweet gift for friend. I picked up body washes in musk sticks, milk bottles, choc bullets and pineapple. I also got the body lotion in choc bullets.
Slightly sad that the chocolate bullet wash and lotion didn't have a true liquorice or anise scent, but more like a fake-chocolate one. My boyfriend thought it smelt like chicos, which I guess falls right into the fake chocolately category.
Musk sticks didn't quite reach that cotton-candy hint that musk sticks had, this was more of a very sweet white musk.
Milk bottle was pretty nom-able, a fake-vanilla and milk scent, while pineapple emerged as a surprise favourite for cocktail kinda zing. Speaking of, I mixed the milk bottle and pineapple together for an experiment's sake. Best idea ever, it smelt like a pina colada in all its sweet creamy glory. I also downed some rum prior to showering to add to the authenticity. Yep, purely for research and review purposes.
The scents don't linger more than 5 minutes after use and won't interfere with your perfume which is a big tick for me. The little bottles click shut quite firmly, and haven't leaked when I've toted them from home, to gym, to work and home again, so I think I'll bring them along on a road trip I'm taking at Christmas time.
A good cheap thrill, they're little goodies to reward yourself with after a hard long day of food shopping. Or an exhausting 15 minutes of yogurt-selecting in my case. I'm very particular about my yogurt.
I bought these from Coles for $5 for the three pack of washes and and $3 per lotion. I'm pretty interested in trying out the plum scented lotion I spotted this morning too.
